My two older kids had their school vacation recently, and since Emma would be in school in the morning, I decided to take Ethan and Hannah for a short outing. With the weather so hot, we decided to go indoors and a trip to the Amazing World Studios was planned.
After circling the block for half an hour, we found a parking spot right behind the Amazing World Studios museum. It appeared that we were the only ones in the entire place, but we had a ton of fun!
It was very entertaining and sometimes hilarious to pose and take pictures with so many 3D exhibits. This is an interactive museum, unlike those regular museums where you only got to “see” stuff.
It wasn’t really a guided tour per se, despite the fact that the ticketing personnel told me it was. We were pretty much left to our own devices, but it wasn’t hard to move around the museum. We started from the topmost floor and proceeded all the way down. There were indicators and guides on the floor to tell us where to stand to get a good picture, plus there were examples too, so we were not lost at all. I think the kids were exhilarated to have the whole museum to themselves, and for me, it makes the place feel safer too.
Somewhere near the end of the tour, there was a Virtual Whirl Ride activity, where we were virtually brought on a rollercoaster ride of some sort. Ethan and Hannah enjoyed this ride twice!

There are a few other interesting museums in Penang, and I’m looking forward to visiting them all, hopefully soon.
